Today we heard from Colby Burke the HR director of Willow Creek and he unpacked the procedures for feedback, development of staff and alignment.

We then heard from Scot McKnight (PhD) a college professor. He spoke on the Kingdom of God.  . . . .  to try and summarise this 2.5 hours of input would be impossible. There was so much there. But I will attempt a sentence to try and provoke questions. The Kingdom of God cannot be separate from the Church. Jesus is building His Church. Ok , I know not enough but hopefully we can chat through it. He has been studying this for the last 5 years and has written a book called Kingdom Conspiracy.

We then had a session with Willow Creek’s executive pastor. My brain is stretched and my heart is full. The challenge now is to take this input and make it practice.

Otherwise it would be the same as taking too many vitamins and the body not being able to absorb them.

This is where time set aside for reflection is fundamental to growth in character, leadership and journey with God!
